The Kroger Community Rewards Program
Each quarter Kroger distributes $500,000 to participating charitable organizations throughout the state of Michigan The amount we receive is determined by the percentage we've spent in relation to the total spent statewide. The more we shop at Kroger with a registered KrogerPlus card, the bigger percentage of the total we will receive.
For the quarter ending February 2011 Kroger gave us $907.21. This new program gives LOUMC about a third of the profits we received under the old program but this money still does wonderful things in missions and for the programs of our church.
Everyone must re-register their Kroger cards during the month of April!
If you already have a Kroger Plus card you can simply register online at KrogerCommunityRewards.com, click on the Plus card icon in the top right corner and follow the instructions. When asked for the NPO#, enter 82927. Alternatively, you can print the re-enrollment form below, fill it in and bring it to the SCRIP table on Sunday morning and well will register your Kroger Plus card.
If you don't have a Kroger Plus card yet you can acquire one at the customer service desk at any Kroger store. Once you have your Kroger Plus card you can follow these instructions for registering your card and associating it with Lake Orion United Methodist Church. Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy when you begin this process.
Encourage friends and neighbors to register their cards with Lake Orion United Methodist Church too, if they aren't already associated with another organization.
